CISN Display Installation

Version 1.441 for ShakeOut

CISN Display provides reliable delivery of real-time earthquake information, including rapid notification and ShakeMaps to critical end users.  This ShakeOut edition is the for the November 13th ShakeOut scenario.

System requirements:
This program requires that Java 1.4 or later be installed.  To check if Java is installed or to download the latest version, click here.
Installation options:
Note:  If you already have a copy of CISN Display installed on your system then install the "ShakeOut" version of CISN Display into a different directory.

Choose the directions corresponding to your operating system below.



Microsoft Windows XP:
Click here to download the installer and select "Run" to download and run the installer.

(If a "Run" option is not available, save the installer file to a folder, locate the installer file, and double-click on the installer file.)



Microsoft Windows Vista:
Click here to download the installer and select "Save" to save the installer file to a folder.

Use the "Open Folder" button (or other means) to locate the installer file, right click on it, select "Properties", "Compatibility" tab, and then enable the "Compatibility mode" checkbox so it's setup as "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)", and hit "OK".  Then double-click on the installer file.  An administrator-level account needs to be used for the installation.



Mac OS X:
Click here to download the installer and save the installer file to a folder.

Locate the installer file and double-click on it.  The compressed installer should be recognized by Stuffit Expander and should automatically be expanded.  If it is not expanded, you can expand it manually using StuffIt Expander 6.0 or later.  Requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.



Linux:
Click here to download the installer and save the installer file to a directory.

After downloading, open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer.  At the prompt type:  sh ./CISN_Display_install.bin



Solaris:
Click here to download the installer and save the installer file to a directory.

After downloading, open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer.  At the prompt type:  sh ./CISN_Display_install.bin



Manual installation (for advanced users):
The program distribution in ".zip" form is available here.  After unpacking into a directory, use the "runClient" script or batch file to run the program.
